Jan has obtained degrees in Business and Childhood Education. In 1990 Jan worked as a Project Manager for Home Savings of America specializing in Information Technology. Jan completed the Sheriff’s Academy in Los Angeles, CA. and work for the LASD Mounted Patrol. In 1996, Jan moved her family to the east coast to work for Homeland Security as an IT Program Manager, supporting the eastern United States. In 2010, Jan and her family moved to Maui, HI.
